Format of the Symposium

The symposium will be structured similar to meetings at Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach. It aims to bring together up to 40 invited experts who will present, in lectures and discussions, the state-of-the-art in the field, the challenges and recent progress in commodity markets, and their theoretical results and practical methods for solving arising problems. The participants coming from different backgrounds, active in academic or industrial research, will get the chance to exchange their experiences and ideas. In addition, a group of approximately 15 young scientists (PhD students, Postdocs) will be invited.

Participation in the Symposium

Participation is subject to an invitation by the organizers. However, researchers and practitioners (in particular young scientists) could apply for one of the very few open places until June 14, 2010.
